GOD
We believe in a triune God.
Trinity
We believe in one God who eternally exists as three distinct persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who are each fully and equally God.
Father
God is the eternal creator of all things and rules over all things for His glory.
Gen. 1:1; 1 Cor. 15:28; Heb. 1:3; Rev. 4:11
Son
Jesus is God who came to live among us and whose mission was to bring people back into a relationship with God by His death and resurrection. Jesus will once again return to usher in His new kingdom.
Luke 19:10; John 1:14; Acts 1:10-11; 1 Cor. 15:3-5
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is God who presently lives among the church and within each believer. He was sent to guide, sanctify, and empower believers to live out the mission of God on earth.
John 14:15-18, 16:7-15; Acts 1:8; Gal. 5:22-25
SALVATION
People are born in sin and continue to sin against a holy God and have no way to be restored to Him by their own efforts. Jesus’ death on the cross paid the debt of our sins so that we can be reconciled to God. That reconciliation takes place when a person repents from their sins and believes in Jesus as the Savior of their life and the Lord over it. The result of this is eternal life.
John 3:16; Rom. 10:9-10; Eph. 2:8-9; Col. 2:13-14
BIBLE
The Bible is the Word of God that gives God’s truths and shapes how we live our lives.
Psa. 119:1-16; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Heb. 4:12
CHURCH
The church is not a place but it is the people of God. The church exists as a community of believers that worships God, cares for one another, and lives out the mission given to it.
Matt 28:18-20; Acts 2:42-47; 1 Cor. 12:12-27
